Action Center
The Action Center in the Oberon Team app (formerly EmployPlan) provides a customizable interface for managing various action items across your organization. These action items represent tasks, recommendations, or potential issues that may require attention.
Action Preferences Interface
The Action Center can be accessed by clicking on the star icon in the application. This opens the Action Preferences dialog, which allows you to customize which actions are displayed and their priority levels.
Personal Mode
The Action Center has a personal mode toggle at the top of the dialog. When enabled, you will only see actions that are relevant to you personally.
Priority Levels
Each action can be assigned one of four priority levels:
- Highest: Critical actions that require immediate attention
- Medium: Important actions that should be addressed soon
- Low: Actions that can be addressed when time permits
- Ignore: Actions that will not be displayed in your Action Center
Action Categories
The Action Center organizes action items into the following categories:
Allocations
Actions related to resource allocation within your organization.
- Empty allocation: Identifies projects or roles that have no resources allocated to them
Employees
Actions related to employee management, training, and development.
- Request training: Training requests that need approval or processing
- Missing profession levels: Identifies employees without assigned profession levels
- Mentor could be assigned: Suggests mentor relationships that could be established
- Training could be assigned: Identifies training opportunities for employees
- Connect external integration: Suggests connecting external HR or training systems
- Pending absence request: Highlights absence requests awaiting approval
Projects
Actions related to project management and resource allocation.
- Project ends soon: Alerts you to projects nearing their end date
- Assign role to project: Identifies projects that need role assignments
Other
Miscellaneous actions related to system administration and customization.
- Sample data not deleted: Reminds you to remove sample data after initial setup
- Customize schools: Suggests customizing the educational institutions in your system
Searching and Filtering
The Action Preferences dialog includes a search function that allows you to quickly find specific actions among all available actions. Simply type in the search box to filter the list of actions.
Saving Your Preferences
After customizing your action preferences, click the "Save changes" button at the bottom of the dialog to apply your changes. If you want to revert to the default settings, click the "Reset to default" button.
